Hiya Bruce - and yeah, of course I remember you! Your written piece remains as a worthy contribution
to this site.

Thanks for the offer to do vocals in the most unlikely event that The Geeks or Orphans were to get
together for a one-off gig. That wouldn't work with The Geeks, because Lloyd's voice is
integral to the delivery of the Geeks songs, and for me there would be no point in getting back
together if the whole thing wasn't authentic.

Your doing vocals would be a possibility with the Orphans stuff, though. So thanks - noted! To be
honest, though, I think the moment (if there ever was one) has passed.

Cheers

Hey Ross, remember me? What songs would you do? I'll sing 'em for you if you can't
find Lloyd...

Will keep that forum idea in mind, Matt.

No contact with Lloyd these days.

There was a point some months after this website was launched when a Geeks and/or Orphans one-off
gig at somewhere like the Hydey was looking like a real possibility, but not now. I would always
have been in it as a one-off, but then, way down deep beneath the layers of cynicism a romantic
flame still flickers in me. Not so Lloyd. James may have been open to persuasion at one stage, but I
guess it's fair to conclude that the idea has died on the vine.

Thanks, as always, for your staunch support.

Yeah but a forum can kinda look after itself usually? I'll be a moderator for you ha ha ha!

Hey Ross, is Lloyd still around? Are you still in touch with him? Why doesn't the
universe's best songwriter/guitarist get some collaboration going with the universe's best
vocalist/lyricist? And rope in Max & Colin while yer at it. Or James!

A reformation is long overdue. GET ONTO IT.

Sorry, a bit slow responsding, Stumblefuck - haven't checked the GB for a while.

Yeah, a forum would be a good idea if there were enough folk who wanted to engage in discussion. The
many emails I've had from far and wide over the last couple of years confirm that there is
ongoing interest in this early period of punk generally, and Perth first wave punk specifically, but
somehow, I doubt a forum would be well utilised. There's nothin' so desolate as a forum
with bugger-all posts.

Hey there, brutha! Why don't you start a "perth punk" forum instead? It's pretty
easy to set up (and free).

Apologies to all those posters whose comments in the old guest book have disappeared.

Unfortunately, all posts subsequent to Christopher's (below) I inadvertedly wiped when deleting
the massive numbers of spam links the old guest book was being bombarded with daily - I didn't
realise my error until it was too late to retrieve the lost posts.

Hopefully, this change to a new, spam-protected guest book will end the annoyance of having comments
buried under an avalanche of fresh spam links days - or hours - after posting.

Posters whose comments have been lost are invited to re-post.

Cheers

Ross

patti smith, ramones, bowie changed my life. and it rescued me from the beach sound and cover
versions. as lou says, only 300 people bought their first album and everyone who did started a band.
was wonderful to be part of it. christopher
